I just finished listening graeme live at cybertribe 95. I remember when this guy used to be on nearly every flyer in the SF rave scene in the 90's. Anyone know where he's hiding out now, was thinking of the possibility of booking him.
Thanks~
Thanks~

Re: in search of dj Graeme SF
Mon, October 17, 2005 - 10:04 AMTalk about some memories there. I remember seeing Ernie on Christmas eve at 16th/Mission. I danced for 9 hours straight, went beyond dehydration - my feet were literally on fire, no more sweating, just straight bliss.
Can't believe I survived the 90s lol.

Re: in search of dj Graeme SF
Thu, December 1, 2005 - 4:49 PMWell, I know of a few less than savory type folks who are still looking for Ernie, so I doubt he's likely to resurface. Although I did hear something about him being in Spain, but thats one thats quite hard to verify... -

Re: in search of dj Graeme SF
Wed, October 19, 2005 - 8:08 PMGraeme was my "first favorite DJ", mostly because I had a friend that was hooking me up left and right with his tapes. Are you familiar with his Live @ Futur I and Futur II ("Digitaria") tapes? His performance @ Harmony 2 year was around the same time as Cybertribe, so many of the same tracks were in there. I loved how you could hear the crowd noises on that tape ("woooooooooo!")
In fact, I was desperately seeking track names for many of those records in the late 90s. I ripped RealAudio samples from the tapes and posted them alongside my wants list online in the hopes I could get some IDs. While my desire to spend Too Much Money snapping up used copies has severely waned, I'm still kinda curious to know the names. If anyone DJing during that era wants to give it a whirl, the samples are STILL kicking around out here:

Re: in search of dj Graeme SF
Wed, December 7, 2005 - 6:44 PMYes Graeme............good times but no Idea. As for Ernie ....good times Ernie at the end up along with many old favorites. As for Astral Matrix what was there 12" they gave me many moons ago OOBE.........I thought they were still around.........And Moonpup I saw him in LA about 8 yrs ago He is probably still playin somewhere. Have not thought about any of them for many yrs. Ernie use to be my neighbor in SOMA oh but those were not such fun times. I would imagine he wants to stay away from SF. Good Luck Ben Im sure you will find those tracks somewhere it seems that if you have snippets of them some odf the old school boys at tweekin or primal might know.? -

Re: in search of dj Graeme SF
Sun, August 17, 2008 - 12:48 PMHi Folks,
your search has ended. I am still alive - now living in France. I quit Djing back in 2000 mostly due to the death of the Rave scene coupled with a new generation of kids that wanted a simpler -more in your face- style of music that I was not willing to play and a reemerging club scene that didn't want to hear anything left of center. I have many fond memories of the S.F scene and having Djed all over the U.S and Canada I can definitely say we had it the best. It is nice to read so many comments and memories. If I can, I will try to get some of the old tapes digitized- I have a few(Spectrum 3 &4) that never came out because of the death of the tape and the arrival of cd and therefore (ahem!)copyright issues - and I will figure a way to get them to you. Thanks for your comments,it is great to be remembered.
Cheers,
Graeme
